By integrating metallurgy, design and application engineering, Aqua has developed mill lining solutions for bolted / boltless mills which last longer while increasing the effective mill volume and grinding efficiencies. The recently launched Aqua-Duo design for mono-chamber mills with pre-grinder in the grinding circuit or for the second chamber of twin chamber mills has been well received in the market with over 9 mills in operation in India. Liners for 6 more mills are under erection / manufacture. This design also provides for safer and quicker shutdowns, as well as reduced inventory (with liners standardised for different mill diameters).

High hardness (300-650 BHN) required on working areas of bearing journals, stacker / reclaimer wheels, sprocket teeth etc are provided by induction hardening the components while retaining the toughness in the base material.

DuoHard dual hardness hammers are supplied for clinker breaker application. The working area of the hammers have a hardness of 48 + 2 HRc while the eye portion has a hardness of 35+2 HRc. This provides an optimal solution of a through hardened hammer with a wear rate less than half that of conventional manganese steel hammers while retaining the toughness at the eye portion.

Bainitic Chilled S.G Iron Rolls used in seamless pipes / tube manufacturing operation with the working surface at 45-50 HRc and the superfine finish machined bore at 30-35 HRc manufactured by Aqua have been well received in the market. 

With plants having multi-stage pre-heaters of different sizes and some having multiple lines, keeping the right inventory and planning for the spares required for annual shutdown is a complex process. This has been simplified by Aqua by providing standardised dip tube segments which can be utilized in different quantities to meet the different size requirements. With one or two unique components, the rest of the segments can be standardised and this can OEM design neutral.
