FURNACES

Thyristor Controlled Medium Frequency Induction Furnaces of 5 tons, 2tons, 1 tons & 250 Kg. Capacity for castings upto 5000 kgs.

MOLTEN METAL HANDLING

Various capacities of Laddles with bottom and top pouring facilities are utilised for Molten Metal handling.

EOT Crane one each of 2, 5 and 10 tons capacities are one of the the main material handling facilities.

PATTERN MAKING AND MOULDING FACILITIES

We have trained pattern makers on our rolls, who could do the required modification/rectification. Patterns designed by us are normally prepared and supplied by these vendors, in and around Belgaum.

Moulding Machine Category
Pin lift Moulding machine, Pneumatically operated Sand Mullers (1000, 500 & 100 Kgs capacities), Mechanised Sand handling systems are utilised for Mould preparation.

FETTLING

Adequate fettling facilities like 72" Swing Table Double Door Shot Blasting Machine with Dust collector arrangements, Pedestal Grinders, Swing Frames, Pneumatic Chipper, Angle Grinder, Special Grinder for Polishing, Rectifiers, Welding Generators, Plasma Arc Cutting Machine. are available at our Foundry.

HEAT TREATMENT:
Advanced and special purpose heat treatment facilities with recordering and controlling options are among the main features of Aqualloys.
Bell Type electrically operated H.T.Furnace of 2.3 x 1.5 x 0.7 Mtrs size (2 hearths) with a batch capacity of 2.5 Tons, 2m dia x 1 m ht. bell Type H.T.Furnace with a 2.5 MT batch capacity and 5 MT capacity HT Furnace (2 hearths) of 3.5m dia x 1m ht. are the main utilities for heat treatment of castings.

Heat treated castings are cooled using different utilities as per the specification of the product.
The Cooling facilities available at Shinoli works include

Water Quenching - upto 5.0 Tons/batch.
Oil Quenching - upto 2.0 Tons/batch and
Air Quenching Facility with 10 blowers.

QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM

INSPECTION AND TESTING FACILITIES

The system of control ensures the scrap analyses prior to use, Ferro Alloys analyses prior to melting. Charge calculations are done depending upon the composition required. Final adjustments are carried out after pilot analysis obtained from Vaccum-Spectrometer. The system Temperature is controlled by immersion type Pyrometers with expandable Thermocouple. Advanced testing and inspection instruments available at R&D centre facilitate consistent quality in every Aqualloys range of product.

CHEMICAL TESTING
Compact Polyvac Optical Emission Spectrometer
This Sofisticated spectrometer is the key to Quality Control and is put in use at every stage of the process.
Other facilities at our laboratory include Carbon and Sulphur Determination Equipment, complete range of equipments for Gravimetric Analysis Spectro Photometer -etc.

SAND TESTING
Basic sand testing machines like Clay Washer, Sieve Analysis, Sand Rammer, Universal Sand Testing Equipment, Mould Hardness Tester, Core Hardness Tester, Permeability Meter, Rapid Moisture Determinator -etc are used for sand dressing.

PHYSICAL TESTING - DESTRUCTIVE
60 Tons Universal Testing Machine, Impact Testing Machine and Bend Testing Apparatus are the main equipments.

PHYSICAL TESTING - NON -DESTRUCTIVE
Metallurgical Microscope with sample preparation Equipment, Rockwell cum Brinnel Tester, Poldi Hardness Tester, Ultrasonic Flaw Detector, Magnetic Particle Testing Machine and Microprocessor Controlled Dynamic Hardness Tester.
